The result of JEE main 2017 will be available only in online mode. Candidates can check JEE Main result 2017 by entering their Roll Number and Date of birth. The Score and All India Rank (AIR) of JEE Main 2017 will be announced on same date. JEE Main 2017 result will be declared for all candidates who have appeared in pen & paper on April 2 and computer based mode exam on April 8 and 9, 2017.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has successfully completed the Paper 1 and paper 2 on 2nd, 8th, and 9th of April 2017. Reportedly 2,20,000 aspirants have appeared for the JEE Main Examination from across the Nation. The CBSE has already released the answer key for the JEE Main examination soon after the examination completed. CBSE has also accepted the objections against answer key before 22nd of April. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Examination is the National level entrance examination organized by CBSE every year. Students seeking admission in BE/B.Tech, B.Arch/ B.Pharmacy courses in NITs/ IITs/ CFTIs are going to attempt the CBSE JEE Main Examination

Details of JEE Main Result 2017

  • The All India Rank of the candidates will be announced with the category rank and the actual scores obtained by the candidates in the JEE Main examination.
  • Candidates will be able to download their JEE Main 2017 rank card soon after the result is announced
  • The all India rank of the candidates will be calculated on the actual scores obtained in the exam..
  • The JEE Main result 2017 will be available only online and candidates can download their score cards thereafter. There is no other provision to send the score cards or result to the candidates
  • The cutoff to qualify for JEE Advanced 2017 exam will also be announced along with the JEE Main result. Therefore candidates will also know whether they have qualified and can apply to appear for the JEE Advanced exam to be held on May 21.
  • Admissions to the B.Tech courses at the NITs, IIITs and GFTIs will be open to candidates who qualify in JEE Main and score a minimum of 75% in their class XII or are placed in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
  • For the academic year 2017-18, 2,20,000 top candidates from JEE Main will be shortlisted as eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced.

What subjects will be taken into consideration for calculation of percentile?

The five subjects will be taken into account for calculation of percentile of qualifying examination marks for paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech.)of JEE (Main) which are:

  • Language
  • Physics
  • Maths
  • Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject
  • Any other subject

Note: If a candidate has appeared in six subjects in the qualifying examination, the better of the fifth or sixth will be considered.
